I have gone through your list of columnists but it looks as if you dont update it regularly. Some names of really good and young columnists are missing like Yasir Pirzada who writes weekly column for Jang and Aftab Iqbal of Nawa-e-Waqt. Please do add them.

Nazir Naji, appears to as one of the most senior journalist of this country. This is a big unfortunate to find out the true reality of him. I just went through a phone conversation of him with a journalist in which he is abusing him and his mother like a wild dog. Can we do something to nude this journalist's reality in front of the nation so that people can see what a thing he is?

Here is a link below to the phone conversations:

    http://pkpolitics.com/2009/04/19/nazir-naji-abusi...

Thanks, I hope this will not go useless. I am a common person living in Karachi associated with the IT industry. I don’t know how to put this matter ahead so just forwarding it people who I think can make any difference. If the person in the conversation is really Nazir Naji (as it appears), then I think it is a responsibility of all of us (and specially you in the media) to let the nation know about this "senior journalist". Can somebody help confirm this and take any action accordingly?

We just celebrated 62 years of Independence. Was Pakistan created for display of these "Islamic values".

What happened to the peaceful and tolerent teachings of Holy Quran and Holy Prophet.

What of the peaceful conduct of Holy Prophet Hazarat Muhammad (may peace be upon him)

it appears that none of it ever reached the Government of Pakistan and Police department. No wonder Pakistan continued to slide down into the abyss of misery.

It would be nice if a share link is available with the articles for popular social networks such as facebook, like on most such websites with news and articles. That would not only be convenient to us readers who would like to share something but may also increase the popularity and visitors on this website. I hope the admin can get the technical team to figure this out. Hope this feedback was of some help. Thank you and keep it up.

  30. Dear Ikram Sehgal Sahab

This is Asad I. A. Khan, if you remember, we have met several times at Manizeh & Humayun Gauhar’s place. Incidentally I am also Manizeh’s cousin. The reason that has prompted me to write to you is the article you wrote ‘Climbing the Corruption Index’ – while your concern should be every conscientious persons concern, ironically even if it is, it is expressed socially and left at that. However one aspect of your article needs clarification as it is not based on any facts.

You may not know, I am an Architect by profession and presently the Managing Director of NESPAK since April 2009, having been in NESPAK since 1985. Therefore, your mention of NESPAK in the same flow of corrupt organizations such as NHA, EOBI and OGDC is to me rather disturbing and shocking. Shocking because NESPAK has conspiciously steered clearly away from any sort of corruption and malpractices (sometimes much to its disadvantage!). There may be a few, who can grudge NESPAK for being the largest Consultancy Organization in the country, some times getting work on single source, primarily due to the fact that today we are recognized as an organization that is not only sound but free from ills that ails such public sector organizations. But surely no one without an agenda can call us corrupt. You definitely cannot have an agenda as I would like to believe, and I am quite ready to concede that our name came only to your mind by way of the fact that most public sector companies are badly managed and usually corrupt.

I can without any hesitation insist on the fact that your impression about NESPAK is erroneous. We are a self earning organization, without receiving a penny from the Government other than the paid-up capital of Rs.500,000, when we were established in 1973. We are an island of success having secured business of over Rs.6.0 billion this year with an operating profit of over Rs.1.0 billion. We are a purely professional body of Engineers, Architects & Planners of nearly 4000 employees. I don’t think I need say more as our portfolio speaks volumes of successful projects and our credentials second to none in Pakistan. Do visit our website http://www.nespak.com.pk for any information that you may require.

As a matter of fact, we in NESPAK take pride that even in todays unholy environment, we can keep our head high.

    With warm regards

    Asad I. A. Khan

    Hi,
I am really grateful to this website. It has become indispensable in my studies. The rss feeds are right on and great to keep me updated on my favourite authors.
    I have a request.
Is it possible for the admins to upload vector files for the Urdu articles or high resolution images? The articles are very difficult to read in normal view and when zoomed in, they become pixelated. I will really appreciate if this problem is rectified. Thanks
